If you’re rolling up your sleeves to pitch in for a bake sale or cookie swap this fall, and find yourself in the middle of the bake ware isle scrambling to find a new spatula, egg beaters or cupcake corer – be sure to keep an eye out for a bright green sticker affixed to selected OXO items because….

OXO has pledged up to $100,000 to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer in 2013. Starting in September, OXO will be donating 25 cents from each OXO/Cookies for Cancer branded product purchased; and $100 for each blogger who writes a post about the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer/OXO campaign during the month of September (see additional information about our FTC disclosure below).

Cookies for Kids’ Cancer was founded by two OXOnians (OXO employees), Gretchen and Larry Witt who were inspired by their son Liam’s battle with pediatric cancer. Over 25% of kids diagnosed with cancer don’t survive because of lack of effective therapies and lack of funding.   Cookies for Kids’ Cancer provides inspiration, ideas, and support for people everywhere to help fight childhood cancer through the simple concept of hosting local events like bake sales.  For us, the fight against cancer has been an extremely personal battle – so we’re happy to help spread the word.

You also can show your support for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer by hosting a bake sale

Or buy purchasing (and devouring) some of the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer cookies via this link
